Last year, SIX Payment Services brought a solution to market that allows us to integrate payment terminals directly into Dynamics AX. Previously, an MPD (Multi Protocol Driver) server had to be implemented for this, which meant additional maintenance in the infrastructure area. Integration of Six Payment Services with Dynamics AX via LAN/WLAN The following diagram demonstrates the simplified architecture of the integration with Dynamics AX: The Dynamics AX client communicates (via TCP/IP) directly with the payment terminal. The components must be connected to the same network. As a result, only the two terminals «Yomani XR» and «Yoximo», which are equipped with a LAN/WLAN connection, are currently supported. Other devices such as «DaVinci Vending», «DaVinci 2» and «Yomani 1» will only work after a software update, which should be available in 2-3 months. The payment terminal communicates directly (via an internet connection) with the SIX Payment Services server in order to validate cards, transmit transactions or carry out software updates automatically. The entire terminal configuration, transaction logging as well as cancellations and daily closings are to be carried out in Dynamics AX. If the corresponding payment method is selected on the order, a corresponding dialog appears when the invoice is posted and the customer is asked for card + PIN. In summary, this extension for Microsoft Dynamics AX offers the option of paying for sales orders directly by card when the invoice is posted.
