PowerApps With PowerApps , Microsoft has created a way to build and distribute so-called apps quickly and efficiently in the cloud environment. Figuratively speaking, PowerApps can be compared roughly to Microsoft Access – in contrast to Access, however, the data is not stored in a local database but in the cloud. It makes no difference whether you use an Excel sheet, a SharePoint list, a web service or another connector ( Connectors overview ). You can see how easy it is to design a PowerApp from this short illustration: A PowerApp can be used by authorised people within your own tenant – provided, of course, that the product is licensed for the respective user. With a Dynamics 365 Plan or a Unified Operations Plan, this licence is already included. The target audience for the application is therefore probably mostly internal to the company and less so among external users.
