At the beginning of May 2015, Microsoft admitted Axperience to the AX7 TAP (Technology Adaption Program). This gives us access, ahead of most other partners, to the new version of Dynamics AX, which is technically referred to as AX7. These insights allow us to prepare ideally for the upcoming upgrade projects as well as new implementations. Unfortunately, all information from this program is confidential and may not be passed on by us. Microsoft is explicitly looking for so-called «Conference Room Pilots» in order to obtain as many «Proof of Concepts» as possible. For these pilot projects, an actual go-live is not necessarily a prerequisite – it may simply be a matter of mapping or validating the existing/desired processes with the new version. If you are interested in this, please contact Daniel Grau directly. But to give a little preview: the AX client is disappearing entirely and is being replaced by the browser (HTML5). The first impressions are very positive and we expect the official release to be published towards the end of 2015 (according to Microsoft, Q4 2015). The application will now reside as XML files in a file directory and no longer in the database as in AX 2012.
